My name is Elena and I have spent most of my life taking part in traditional Galician music and dance groups. Personally, I believe that it´s one of our cultural aspects that visitors get to know less about, much less practice it, and I think it´s a pity, because we have an incredible musical richness that, generation after generation, is being preserved and transmitted and that makes us a great reference point for Celtic culture around the world. Plus, it's really fun!
We will start with a traditional Galician percussion workshop, where you will learn to play the "pandeireta" and the "pandeiro", along with some other instruments that will surprise you..... To continue with a dance workshop that will focus on our most characteristic rhythm: "Muiñeira". And when you know how to play and dance.... Let's get the party started! You will be able to practice what you have learned in the workshops while tasting our typical food accompanied by Galician wines and liquours.
IMPORTANT: The performance of the activity will depend on the weather conditions. But don't worry, if it's cancelled, you'll get your money back

The "carballeira" of the Banquete de Conxo is one of the most beautiful and unknown green areas of the city, recently refurbished and of great historical importance, not only for Compostela, but for the whole of Galicia.
We´ll meet in Aurelio Aguirre square, walk for about ten minutes to the "carballeira", get to know the place and its history and then start the workshops
It is advisable to bring comfortable shoes so that you can dance at ease
